Any Recommendations for updating Drivers os 11 ?

so i have this AMD software / and it works very good for me.

but it does crash all the time :)

any way should i remove this also ??

I have it, and it's for tweaking your GPU. Mine hasn't/doesn't crash so if yours is that's a problem (obviously). Why I've no clue other than to say check that you have the latest version (AMD Adrenalin drivers).

f you do not want to entire package, you can just install the drivers only. See this link... Information About AMD Radeon™ Software Installation Types

All that said, and as a side note, I've no idea why AMD decided to bloat this out with a lot of stuff such as gaming profiles which could have been placed on an add on app that one could choose to install at their own discretion. To be the app is just too busy.

Same here, I disabled Driver updates in Group policy. I'd rather get drivers direct from the hardware makers

the drivers i had were out of date witch makes me shocked because i just updated them last week

BTW, you can check to see what driver updates were installed recently via "Update History" under Windows Updates....

Since you're running Windows 11 Pro, it would have been much simpler and easier to use the Group Policy Editor. That's partly why it's there... to alleviate the need to fuss with certain registry hacks in the Pro editions ;-)

Msi Afterburner is generally the go to for GPU oc/fan curves etc for me and a lot of others, regardless of amd or nvidia. Each is a little bloaty in theyre own efforts

I don't overclock my GPU so no need for MSI Afterburner. Also don't set fan curves on my GPU, just let things run their course.

I do however set fan curves on my system fans - 3 case fans, 2 AIO cooler fans. That's it for fans other than those of the GPU :)

I prefer an extremely quiet system over a loud overclocked system requiring lots of cooling. That's me :)

i over clock and some times i am just shocked how loud these little fans can get :)

Started to think why would i install this

and then i remembered some where on Cnet or some website i always like they're tutorials

and it says // the OPPOSITE OF WHAT EVERY ONE HERE SAYS

I only get drivers from their official sources. I'll never trust a driver updater. While they may work sometimes, other times they may download a generic driver that doesn't work well with your specific hardware, especially on laptops (ie. a driver updater downloading an updated Realtek Audio driver on an MSI laptop I had then the MSI sound utility called Nahimic for enhancing audio stops working because the driver is not supported). To each their own offcourse but I like only getting them from official sources.

For LAN/WLAN/Bluetooth, I get them either from Intel's site or from Realtek depending on the device I am updating. For video drivers, from nVIDIA and/or Intel or AMD directly
