Anyone notice Windows Time isn't updating (automatically)?

The "Set time automatically" feature is enabled. And only recently I noticed Windows wasn't updating automatically.

Have you turned OFF Fast Start in the power options?

I have found that this setting stops the time updating to schedule and it has been like this since W11 appeared.

No. I haven't turned off Fast Start. I don't seem to have this option.

In my case, the lack of update is very new with Windows 11. I never had any issue until recently.

Just moments ago I checked my last "synchronization" was on October 7.

For whatever reason, accessing the Time et al through Control Panel > Date and Time will cause a update of the time. I'd have to do this each time or just press "sync now" via W11 settings.

There's no need to use an app, freeware or otherwise. I posted a link earlier to a page that defines a Windows task that actually works, and I've been using it since Windows 7. I don't know if all the shortcomings that motivated the author still exist in Windows 11, but I do know I've posted the link at least a couple times in recent weeks in threads just like this one.

Thanks for the workaround. It's unfortunate that this issue isn't recognized broadly on other forums/mediums and Microsoft hasn't acknowledged the issue. I have my own workaround and I don't want to mess with the task scheduler.

Just out of curiosity. Do you have hibernation disabled? I in fact do and some "guides" say that the Fast Start option is dependent on hibernation being enabled. Perhaps this is why I'm not seeing it.

I'd like to also emphasize, again, this is a [new] phenomenon not present until recently.

Note that you can save the new task to a file and use it on other installations, which is certainly easier than recreating it each time.
