Anyone use Phone Link in W11? working correctly?

I have issues with my Phone Link app recently. It will not send or receive messages even though it says connected. I have resorted to downloading Google Messages as a web app to remedy this. it's not as integrated as Phone Link, and I would love to know how to get it working again on my PCs. It's not working on either my desktop or laptop.

Hi, it's a bit difficult to try to help you as you provide very little details.
Either way, those are the two screens you need to look at.
1: In Windows settings:

2- In Phone link, please note that Bluetooth will not be connected if you chose not to receive phone calls.

If you can come up with things you might think of , report back.
Otherwise a reinstallation on both your mobile & PC might be needed.
Permissions might also be an issue on your phone.

I think I found the issue. Google sent an update to pixels and google messages with RCS blocking systems like phone link. That's what I got out of co-pilot anyways. This sound correct?

That wouldn't surprise me from Google but I can't confirm that.

No! I've tried umpteen times! Always a huge p-i-t-a!

How so???

Google Messages Web works fine for me during long conversations that involve attachments, etc.

For short conversations I'll just voice dictate to my phone.

Another alternative would be a multi-device Bluetooth keyboard...

Not sure what you are asking, maybe you can enlighten everyone with more detail.

PhoneLink does work, I have transferred files Phone <> Laptop no problem, Mirrored Phone screen to Laptop, that includes Googe messages, etc.
PhoneLink/Cross Device Experience Host updated as of 1 July 2026.

This is what the Phone says:
Google messages > Account icon > Device pairing > Use Messages without an account > ...

For me, I'll get the random issue where the phone isn't synced when I come in from outside and the phone switches from cell signal to WiFi.
Hitting the 'Connected' button resolves that.
