Solved Ao.com popup asking me to identify myself with a certificate

This popup happened as soon as I entered the website.
I have never had a website asking me this before so I quit out of the site without clicking on anything.
I believe ao.com is a reputable site but I didn't feel comfortable responding to this.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Is it safe to click on OK or Don't send a certificate?

More info - I went back to the ao.com website and this time there was no popup.

It’s coming from api.eu.transmitsecurity.io

But the suggestion of clearing everything and etc etc, is still something i’d consider.

No, I wasn't logged in. I have cleared Firefox cache but not cookies since I don't want to be logged out of websites and have to sign in again.

Okay, I deleted cookies for ao.com. Since then I have been on other websites and none of them ask for this certificate to identify myself. I then went onto ao.com again and the popup happened immediately. It only happens with ao.com so I am now avoiding ao.com.

I'll call this Solved.

I'd do exactly as the OP did. IF it was malware then clicking anything on that page likely would've had a bad result.
