AOMEI Partition Assistant doesn't list C: disk and unallocated space.

Hi,

I want to extend the volume of disk C: by the unallocated space. But unallocated space is left to C: disk, so I cannot extend C: disk's volume (figure 1). To do so, I downloaded the AOMEI Partition Assistant. The issue is that AOMEI doesn't show C: disk and unallocated space, it just says that my disk has 100% unallocated space (figure 2). Does anyone have any ideas regarding this?

From your screenshots in post #1, it looks like both Windows Disk Management and AOMEI Partition Assistant are running together. Please close Windows Disk Management and then run AOMEI Partition Assistant or MiniTool Partition Wizard and check.

Is it your Lenovo laptop? How did you manage to get an unallocated space to the left of C:? I also see there is no recovery partition.

I recently had Linux and Windows (dualboot) on my Lenovo (Linux at first, then Windows). Then, I deleted Linux and formates the corresponding partition.

A botched up and manipulated system disk. I do not know whether the present condition can be straightened out. If you have decided to go with Windows 11, it will be better to backup all data and do a clean install. That is my opinion. Anyway wait to know what other system experts suggest.

Thanks for the advice. I thought about using Windows now and would like to use the full capacity of the disk. However, I don't know if I stay with Windows and might dual boot again. By clean install, you mean that I save my data and reset the Lenovo to factory settings and install Windows 11 afterwards again?

No, a clean install will not restore your PC to factory settings. If you had made a Recovery drive immediately after setting up the new PC, then and only then you can restore it to factory settings that will include factory installed applications.

I would advise you to start a new thread in the Insatallation, Updates and Activation sub-forum explaining your situation clearly with a screenshot of Windows Disk Management, ask for any clarifications and take a second opinion on the best course of action.
