App Installation Hangs After Verifying MSI Version (25H2 (OS Build 26200.7840)

Thanks for the advice and sticking with me.

I picked up something and am running slow. I used IObit Uninstaller rather than Revo as I am upset with Revo for cancelling my paid-up product and trying to move me to a monthly subscription.

I removed Quicken, booted into safe mode with networking and no start-up apps, and reinstalled Quicken from an elevated command prompt. The third-party PDF creation software still does not install, so I got an error message - 1722 - issue with installation package - spelling out InstallPDFDrive failed. I rebooted to normal mode, disabled BitDefender, installed the pdf driver, and ran Quicken as an admin. It hung on a screen showing only Quicken in the title bar. I killed the two processes, then installed the mondo patch as an admin. This time, starting Quicken as an admin, showed the File and Help links before it hanged.

I'll try to make some sense from the logs I can find, but have little experience understanding them. I will appeal to Quicken again to see if they are willing to escalate to someone who can read the logs. After that, I may reinstall the OS again and start installing programs more slowly and checking more carefully for when the problem is seen. I have a feeling it may not be a specific application that can be backed out.

For now, I am using my older laptop for Quicken, but am scared to install any new software, so it has limited value when I travel.
