This Google account is not yet associated with a device. Please access the Play Store app on your device before installing apps. Does anyone know how to do this. I have a Google account but cannot download an app from the play store. Anybody? Thanks.

EDIT: You need to assign your Google account to an appropriate device.

ok. here's what I have - A Kindle Fire 10. I guess the search used on that is Amazon Silk? So I need to download Chrome? Is that what you mean?

Sorry, I thought you had a straight up Android device, I know nothing about the Fire OS! My bad, sorry 'bout that!

I downloaded Google Drive to my Kindle but it still is not seeing my Kindle. No problem.

I guess Amazon Kindles do not get the Google Play app. Guess I'll have to buy another type. Wonder if a Surface would get it...

An app I got through my library. Free Gal Music. Lost it when I moved from Mass to RI. Unfortunately, my library doesn't carry it. It is available on Google Play but Google Play doesn't want to play.

I went to Amazon on my account and this never showed up. So I followed the link you provided, and it downloaded to my Kindle!! -- unfortunately, it is still looking for a library account- so I guess I'm still out of luck. I really appreciate your help. Thanks again.
