Then he will definitely see it.
If he has things set up in his account settings... he'll get an email too.

Generally, ASUS laptops have some software (from ASUS) that takes care of the laptop drivers.
I dunno what it's called, cause I'm a desktop guy. :-)

I'm a desktop guy too, just got this laptop 'cause I need a machine that's portable for college and I'll be doing future game dev stuff with it and assignments that involve anything remotely taxing.

use the audio drivers mentioned by werty.

Mokichu only does audio driver packs for Asus desktop boards only (easy to produce) and not for Asus notebook/laptop pcs (more complicated to make).
I'll give you this quote from him (and underline the important part):

I don't offer audio drivers packages for notebooks/laptops in order to focus on my field : DIY PC/Motherboards (hence the fact that my threads are in Motherboards category).


Please refer to your product support page to download the appropriate drivers for your product (if you have any issue with them, please contact ASUS Support).

the only time that you should update the audio drivers is when the existing drivers have some problems with newer Win11 releases like 24H2 but function correctly with older Win11 versions
