I've been seeing the message below lately when running Windows Update. When I check Optional Updates however, there is nothing there. Anyone know the meaning or reason behind this one?

Believe that's the new messaging now with the latest Windows builds for normal (not optional) updates. I get it on my machines as well.

Do you have the "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available: box checked in Windows Update? I don't have it checked and I don't see that message in Windows Update.. I'm still on 25H2.8875.

I've had that box checked for a few years now. The message only started appearing within the last week. I'm on 25H2 26200.8973

Depending on the update security updates will download automatically without any input but stuff like WU's and drivers will wait for me to click download and install.

Try turning that slider off and see if it goes away.

Solved FYI ONLY - “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” has been removed. You will get preview updates whether you want them or not.
