Hello All

On Windows 11 Pro Desktop, sometimes when i open this game it crashes to Desktop, displays a black screen between rounds which forces me to open task manager and end task, and restart game to continue playing. Followed a EA forum info on possible fixes for that, and may have resolved the black screen between rounds issue, but still having issues with it crashing to Desktop even on first load or in a middle of a Round

System specs listed in Signature for Desktop, System is fully up to date.

*Planning a clean system install possibly in next 2-3 weeks to see if that solves anything or maybe sooner if i get the time to do that*

Then gonna make a nice clean system image, and stick to backup plan regularly

Video drivers are up to date, Game Ready Drivers latest version
PC dust cleaned out every month, usually last day or first day of the month, this month probably be last day or April 1st, depending on time

**Also do have Core Isolation on, Local security Authority, wasn't sure if i needed it on, but since it was available and had turn on options i turned them on manually**

Open the Command Prompt as an administrator and execute the following commands one at a time.

Code:
Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Sfc /scannow

Chkdsk C: /f

If the above commands won't solve the problem, perform clean boot.

In this guide, you will learn the steps to perform a clean boot on Windows 11 and Windows 10 to help you troubleshoot and determine conflicts in your setup.

Ok will get those done as soon as possible here, and report back results.

Should i also Chkdsk the Game SSD where Battlefield 2042 is installed?

D: Samsung 860 Evo 1TB Game SSD is where all the games are installed currently

C is just Windows, and some small programs

E: Drive holds Libraries like Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, Video type files and Onedrive

*Stored that stuff on that drive as wasn't sure on storing the files on C:\ M.2 as was worried on too many writes when i originally did my last clean install*

Ok Results of Chkdsk on the Drives coming up-- Dism Online cleanup image no problems found as well, SFC scan now no integrity issues.

Game did load and seem to work fine for the over 30 minutes i tested it, and will longer later tonight.
