I'm a little confused by your post.

(For one thing, did you mean Belarc Advisor?)

What does the Firmware entry in Device Manager show for your motherboard? I can't generalize, but for my Asus motherboard, it shows the correct firmware version.

Use CPU-Z > Motherboard tab, to see which BIOS you have.

Then, if you need a newer BIOS, download it from the website and update it manually, through the BIOS.
Use the Q-Flash Utility in the BIOS (once in the BIOS hit the F8 key to access the Q-Flash Utility)

The latest BIOS available is the F7 BIOS. So if CPU-Z says you have the F7 BIOS... you're done, you're up to date.

The bios version will be displayed.

According to what I have read, there should be a new bios than F7. I know I can block some sites but I would like to get a newer bios.

F7 is the newest non-beta BIOS.
It's the newest one on the Gigabyte website. That's as new as they come.

F7 is the newest BIOS for a B300 series motherboard.

Whilst I normally update my pc and apps immediately, and even will try beta versions, I would never install a beta version of a bios update.

That is the one thing where a Macrium Reflect backup will not save your bacon (or carrot if you are vegan?).

Another way of quickly finding out the bios version of a mobo is to use the System Information App in Windows.
Only takes a couple of mouse clicks. :cool:

I'm curious about where you read that.

F7 is the latest non-Beta BIOS, and no newer Beta BIOSes are listed on the Gigabyte site for that motherboard.

I have read of tech support from some companies making an unreleased beta BIOS available to fix some specific problems, but I doubt that I'd use anything like that if it was semi-illicitly posted on the Web.

Do you have an issue you're trying to fix? Or just a touch of upgrade fever?

Instead of relying on software to show the BIOS version (not all software reads it correctly) why not just open the BIOS and check there, seems the most efficient and relaible way, also take the opportunity to export your profile (if the option is available) and/ or take photos of settings pages you might need to reset after an update, or just for future reference.

Updated Mine other day, all went flawlessly, despite a Beta Bios, but is ok as I've ran a couple beta bioses before on this board in the past and when final one was released i just updated BIos for the final time. (Gigabyte B460M-DS3H Rev 1.0) Showing no performance, cooling or any other problems as yet

previously my bios didn't have an option in settings to turn off App Center Download, after i updated Beta Bios it showed and this time i made sure to disable it to feel much safer

I suggest you contact Gigabyte support. They may be able to provide an unreleased beta BIOS that will solve your issue.

It may help if you're more specific about your needs than you have been here.
