black background back to white.

Since instaling w11 everything has a black background,when i open to find folders the background is black,before it was white,i use thunderbird as email client and the back ground for that is now black.How can i get this back to a white background?

Sorry been trying to get this to white for a couple of hrs,sods law post for answer then find out how to do it myself,settings colour mode...Background now white as before the only down side is the task bar at the bottom is also white rather than the grey it used to be,but its better than black.

Thanks i saw this,but the "show accent on start or taskbar" is turned off and wont let me turn it on.
I suspect you have to use the dark mode for it to work,it wont turn on using the light mode.

Top bar changes colour but not the taskbar.

I thought you did not want dark mode.

Try this.

I have did that, "show accent on start or taskbar" is turned off and wont let me turn it on.
I want the light mode,as i said i think if someone wanted to change the taskbar colour they would need to use dark mode to allow them to do it,i will just keep it as it is on the light mode and the taskbar can stay white.

Did you set them like I showed in my example? I can change my taskbar to many different colors.

Yes+what i see.

On double checking i had custom,light light,you had
Custon dark,light.
it now works and i keep white background and the taskbar is the colour i want,thanks for you help and patience,much appreciated.
