Blue dot in Systray

Hello

After installing ElevenClock and being very happy with it, I got this strange blue dot in the Systray next to ElevenClock interface.
Please see attached image. I read forums and it says WIn 10 is trying to update to Win 11 or something.
THe blue dot disappears when i close ElevenClock which made me think it was happening because of the ElevenClock app.
But the Win10 wants to update makes more sense.

I do NOT want to upgrade to WIn 11 yet.. How can I get rid of this blue dot for good.

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

That blue dot looks like the Windows 10 notifications icon telling you that you have one unread notification. If so, then just click on it to read the notification and it should go away (until the next notification).

Go to Settings>System>Notifications and turn Notifications off.

I must say I find Notifications useful but that's how to switch them off if you want to.

Yes indeed Notification are great but you can see how they are messing up the EleveClock for me.
Another thing I noticed the blue dots moves with the ElevenClock bubble, which is kind of weird.
You think re installing ElevenClock would help ?

Look in ElevenClock for one of it's numerous settings, about displaying that... blue dot?

Or just get rid of it, and use a different clock App...

I use ElevenClock (EC). There is no setting that has to do with 'displaying a blue dot'
I switched the language of EC to English and looked in all setting options for that.

There is a setting 'Disable the notification badge':


But that notification badge is (if not disabled) a bell-icon:


Maybe that bell is replaced by a dot when an update is coming, so it would be worth the trying of activating that option (thus to disable the notification badge).

Otherwise I would not know how to solve it, otherwise than disabling the whole Notification Center of Windows.
For that see:

BTW. Even if that notification centre itself is disabled, the clock still will appear in ElevenClock when the disabling in those settings is not activated!

Edit: I just saw that 4 minutes ago @Wick already posted that he found the option in the settings of Elevenclock.
It took me some time to type the text and put the illustrations in it. But it does no harm.

You have missed the fact that the OP has installed ElevenClock in Windows 10 - and Windows 10 has a circle for it's notification icon.

I figured the setting had to be in there somewhere.
I mean, ElevenClock has like eleventy-twelve settings.

Just eleventy-twelve? I thought it was more like eleventy-twenty!

Gave me some insight into Windows updates and how those notifications are displayed
