Windows 11 Pro X64 Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.80
I have a dual boot W10/W11 system with EaseUS and Macrium emergency options included in the BCD.
Everything had been fine until about a week ago when the Boot Manager screen failed to display and the system went straight into W11 (the default entry).
I tried a few things to fix this and eventually found that making W10 the default solved the problem.
Another of "The Wonders of Windows"?

the Windows 10 boot manager works very well booting Windows 11.

Have discovered a new symptom (if that's the correct word).
If I do a restart from within Windows in response to a "restart now" prompt message then the Boot Manager screen is displayed, however a boot from power on, or a hard reset skips the boot manager.
I can find nothing in the BIOS that might explain this. I have only one boot option which is the Windows Boot Manager.
Yes, I can of course go with W10 as the default, but sometimes I need to just hit power on and then go answer a call of nature.
Perhaps I should just set W10 as default and set "wait for user input".

W11 bootloaders screw up the graphics screen (distorting it or not showing it) on some device's.

Try this as a workaround:-

1) Run msconfig
2) Select Boot tab
3)! Set W11 as default
4) Check "base video" checkbox

With luck, this will now display the graphics boot menu ok.

Only minor issue is screen will be in 4:3 format and will not fit all the screen but is perfectly usable.

If that fails - reverse changes above.

I think I'm going to stick with W10 as default and the "Wait for user input option".

It takes less than 1 minute to try what I suggested, and totally reversible.

But hey - your choice.

Have you tried using Macrium to delete the boot menu option and then re-create it?

Have you tried using an elevated Command Prompt and set it's timeout

Thanks for your input. I will try that at some stage, but for the moment I'll take the path of least resistance.

It seems that Fast Start is enabled.
Fast start is a mix of cold boot and hibernation, while restart is pure cold boot.
Disable Fast Start to see what happens.

I have had Hibernate disabled since installation.
Registry shows "HiberbootEnabled"=dword:00000000
Local Group Policy shows "Require use of fast startup Disabled".

Just a side note, you can spam TAB at startup to get to the menu manually, it's also an easy way to get to MemTest
