Good evening,

I started running the WDV at 18:00 on Sunday Night, and will end at 18:00 on Tuesday evening.

One thing that I found earlier today is that Western Digital has it's own version app similar to the Samsung Magician, I downloaded and upgraded the firmware.

I've had several BSOD's this afternoon one after another after another. For a time I couldn't keep the computer on for more than 5 minutes.

There were 5 new mini dump files.

Only one of the 5 had the use of WDV.

The same drivers were misbehaving: AMD GPU and networking

1) Turn off WDV

2) Uninstall and reinstall the AMD GPU drivers > make sure that the replacement driver is different from:

30.0.13025.5005
31.0.14051.5006

3) If the AMD GPU driver is seen in the next BSODs then swap test the GPU card.
The swap test can be AMD or Nvidia.

4) If the GPU swap does not improve the instability / stability plan to swap test the motherboard.

5) Uninstall and reinstall the Intel Wifi driver if possible install a version different from the versions displayed below:

When you say swap test, do you mean change out the GPU for another? If so I don't have another GPU to test with.

I got another BSOD, with your guidance I am really leaning towards a hardware malfunction. I will link the new V2 log. Now I am left with the major question about swapping out components if I don't have spare components? Do I go out and buy a new GPU or Motherboard?

Dare I go out to Best Buy and pick up another GPU and Motherboard to test? They have a 14 day return policy.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
There were recurrent misbehaving drivers with different driver versions.
This is typical of malfunctioning hardware.
See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative, or local computer store to swap test computer components.

Other alternatives are
a) to have the computer serviced in a local computer store
b) purchase returnable hardware components for testing purposes (check restocking fees)

The hardware problem may be the motherboard as there were problems with both GPU and Networking.

Swap testing can be started with the motherboard, GPU, or Networking.

Hello zbook, I hope you are doing well.

An update on my progress with BSOD, I'm still getting them. I ordered the Aorus GC-WBAX210 Wifi 63 card which is identical to the one I have, it arrived today and I will install it tonight. I haven't been able to get a GPU, I had a friend mention that he had one that I could use, but I haven't heard back. At least I can now start with Wifi. This past week, I have found that I can play hours upon hours in Skyrim without any BSOD, while at the same time when I leave the computer idle in Windows for 10 minutes or less it will certainly crash. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why I can play for so long in my game but could barely keep Windows open on its own doing nothing, what could be interfering. I believe it's because of the Internet. Other than startup, Skyrim does not need Internet. I did a precursor experiment before buying the Wifi, in which I turned off the Wifi and let the computer run. Boy was that boring. Though I didn't see any crashes.

Fingers Crossed.

The findings in the latest log files were similar findings in the earlier logs.

Hello Zbook,

I'm still working on a fix for my computer after many obstacles both with hardware and life. I am back on the case to run my computer without errors and have now come upon this issue. As a reminder, when we last left off you had recommended that I try switching out component parts, I changed the Wifi and still got the BSOD. You then recommended that replace my Mother board.

History over the last month/weeks &days
First motherboard I ordered Gigabyte arrived DOA, and in true noob fashion I found out after I had everything installed in the case. smh. Lesson learned.
Next I ordered another motherboard which is a step up from my AsRock Z690 Steel Legend - to MSI Z690 Edge Wifi DDR4.

Where I am now
Following directions in Step #47
I have created a bootable Windows 11 MCT

Under the Custom Install direction I have not been able to get past Step 12 without BSOD. I've tried 7-10 times always ending in a BSOD or system freezes. These are some of the messages I am receiving:

IRQL Not_Less_Or_Equal
ntoskrnl.exe

System Service Exception

PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGE AREA.

Each of those messages flashed on the blue screen, I may have an error or 2 with what I recorded as the screens reset.

What do you think I should do now?

Most importantly, thank you so much for putting in the time and effort to help enthusiast such as myself learn how to get themselves out of pickles. I am so very appreciative of the support, from the bottom of my heart.

Please post a new V2 share link into the newest post.

Indicate what you've done for each of these hardware components:

RAM
Motherboard > newest swap test
CPU
GPU
PSU

For RAM indicate whether the current modules are or are not on the new motherboard's Qualified Vendor List.

Last V2 was #73. I cannot boot up into Windows.

RAM - As I look back, it doesn't look like we did anything with RAM :/ 4 x 8 TForce Xteem 3600 mhz 14 CL

Motherboard > Swap clusterf (see above).
CPU - I've done stress test on my own, and have passed. We may have done some steps but I'm not sure? Intel i5-13600K
GPU - I haven't had an opportunity to swap yet, haven't had access to an alternative AsRock Phantom Gaming RX 6800XT
PSU - We haven't done anything. Thermaltake ToughPower GF1 Snow edition 850W

Just a tips. im not saying BSOD pro here are not accurate but i have same issues and no fix for stressful software test.. Most BSOD caused by Ram OC or bad ram. I have fix by my self by focusing on RAM. The best to test here is use only 1 ram and see if BSOD will still occurs or borrow a known good Ram.
