Since my Win 11 Update doesn't seem to be working I went to the Microsoft Update catlogue and installed KB 5022845.....msu. But there a a couple of CAB files listed as well. Do I need to install these?

A msu package installs all the files contained within the msu. You do not extract the files from the msu before installing. Just click on the msu and let it do its thing.

The monthly Windows update is released as two different versions:
2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022845)
2023-02 Dynamic Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022845)

Cumulative Update is the normal version for almost everyone, it's a MSU file.
Dynamic Cumulative Update is for special use (not required for most systems), it's a CAB file.
