I have the set. I've probably read the Lord of the Rings about 100 times.
Never saw the movie. There's no way it could compare.

The Hobbit is written on a more childish reading level. I've read it less and less as I got older.

I wonder how much money has been pointlessly wasted on rounding corners.

As an aside, the Romans had no concept of corners - that is why they never won the Trophaeum Mundi

Similarly, in Asia, every time they got a corner, they stopped to build a shop.
