The biggest glitch in W11 is with window frames bleed through!
Some themes work better than others, this one is almost tolerable...,
others are terrible!
There are other minor issues which you can circumvent with 3rd party utilities;
as I said though, they're workin on it.

I worked for 2 different organizations doing CAD work. I always produced the drawing with a square corner "frame". The second organization, the supervisor just went "berzerko" when I did a drawing with square corners. I told him it just looked more professional!

There is something about round corners that I do notice when taking screenshots.
The screenshots don't have round corners to match.

And for a bit of trivia, if you go to Event Viewer, and go to Help » About Event Viewer, you will see that Windows has not been capitalized. :winkt:

Probably the one who works making that function windows need to enable an autocorect option.

Double negative are often a source of amusement.

e.g. "I ain't got none"

My parent's use to say "Ain't ain't a word" lol

I have watched hundreds of Hollywood movies from my side here. Not to mention TV series. Those kind of expressions are so common. At first, as non English speaking person I raised my eyebrows. Later, I realized they know it, but for the sake of familiarity they keep on using it.
Say "I ain't know nothin" And few more.
A casual conversation seems to be much alive with it.

This debate right here is the reason that we have so many Android devices and Linux distros to boot. Closed source systems don't provide all the flexibility to truly have it your way. You may prefer square corners, but if Microsoft has decided that the new look is going to be rounded corners, you may well just be stuck with them, until somebody writes another application that can modify them.

Personally, i don't care either way. As long as my games and apps run fast and smooth, they can do whatever they like with the corners and the start menu. I'm just going to use what they give me. If I don't agree, I can use WIndows 10 or any of dozens of Linux distros that allow me more customization options.

Yes.
In fact, so far, I haven't seen the rounded corners in action, in the cave* from where I'm testing.
So there has to be a way to get back to squares after it switches to rounded ones if squares were initially seen.

Not sure what sorcery or UI engine it's currently used but I look at some msstyles to blame.
In the end if the new look is enforced and hard-coded, as usual, there is no escape from it without heavy tweaking.

I suggest looking in direction of following things, though these seem a bit weird:
- use Basic Display Adapter, ok rather dull answer.
- use Win11 in a VM, these have GPU's that seem to prefer square corners.
- use AeroLite theme; see my post here; though I didn't tested Win11 outside of a VM yet.
- there is possible a link with the Visual Styles in Performance Settings but I haven't tested all combinations. I wonder what setting it to 'best performance' does. (I already use best performance with aerolite theme; square corners everywhere, but hey, this is not your daily user)

It's the same in Win10 20H2, so... has nothing to do with Win11 bugs.

Yes, that one works. This is because the rounded corners seem to require hardware acceleration (and why you don't see them in a VM where that's not available). But disabling your display adapter in Device Manager (and thereby hobbling your performance) seems a little over the top just to get rid of rounded corners :wink:
