So the rounding goes along with HW accel indeed.
And gets applyed on standard msstyle. I don't know yet.

The way Win7, and before, handled the 'rounding' of corners was hardware accel independent. :wink:

But are the corners still round in AeroLite themes?

just uninstall your graphics driver and revert to the Microsoft default driver. If you noticed when you first installed Win 11 before updating your drivers, they were still square...

Yes. I've tested myself, outside of VM.
The rounded corners are applied to all themes regardless of used msstyles.

For now it's just speculation but a registry entry could be the solution to force square corners.

Though I don't actually care: round or not, system stability is more important than looks.

The round corners look so much better, but you only see them if the app doesn`t open in a full screen window.
The square corners is one of the 1st things I hated about W10, but now I don`t even notice anymore.
