So I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to Win11. Most everything seems to work well so far, but I have a small issue. I have been logging in for so long by using my fingerprint that I forgot my password. Before I do something stupid and freeze myself out, what do people recommend is the best way to do handle this?
Because this was an in-place upgrade from Win10, I don't think the local admin acct has a security questions list, so it won't prompt for those.
I thought about adding a second local admin and use that to change it. But I didn't know if that will break the PIN or fingerprint access. I guess if the PW change works, I could login and then reset those. I'm just trying to make sure I don't saw off the branch I'm standing on!!
All suggestions greatly appreciated.
