I finally killed my wife's Dell Inspiron 7591 2n1 (see computer specs). When I boot I get an error message Erroc Code 0x0000225 Your PC/Device needs to be repaired, A required device isn't connected or available.
A couple days ago I started to make a new Macrium Reflect image as I always do and when Reflect started got the error message Cluster run error, invalid cluster number - Error code =6. Please run chkdsk /r I've been trying to work through this and found on Macrium's web site: "
This particular error is caused by a corrupt FAT32 file system where the FAT table includes a cluster run beyond the end of the file system. This will be corrected by running 'chkdsk', however, there appears to be no drive letter associated with the drive that has the error. Is this a GPT/UEFI booting system and does the error only occur when imaging the EFI system partition? This is the small FAT32 partition usually partition 1 or 2 at the beginning of the disk. You can confirm this by excluding the FAT32 system partition from the image to see if it completes successfully.
Also run chkdsk on the Recovery partition if needed."
Today I used a Minitool Rescue Disk to change the drive letter from None to M. I didn't apply this change as I opened CMD to check to confirm the drive letter an couldn't get be to Partition Wizard. So I just ran DISKCHK to make the change and then ran "chkdsk E: /r" and saw that some corrections were applied.
But when I rebooted the machine won't go to Windows! I'm panicking now.
I was able yesterday to install Hasleo, but making a full disc image also failed, but I was able to make an image of the C: drive just in case.
So I have a Macrium Rescue disk, a Mini tool Rescue Disk, backup images of Macrium, and the Hasleo image of C:.
I'm at a loss where to go from here!
