I frequently use an on-line converter to modify mp3 files.
After my recent conversion to Win 11, I get a pop-up every time I try to do anything to those files.
Apparently they have been flagged as internet downloads and MS wants to confirm the action requested.
From what I could determine, I either have to modify each individual file to remove the flag, or disable that security feature.
The entire feature can be stopped by enabling a custom security setting to Launch Programs & Files in an IFRAME (whatever that is).
I was able to do it, but rec'd a *stern* warning that I was putting my PC at increased risk of online attack.

So my question is -- can I disable this feature for just certain types of files? (specifically mp3's)
I know they're trying to protect me, but the continuous extra clicks are an aggravating time waste.

I am on 24H2

Open regedit and add the following key if it doesn't exist
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations

Under Associations add a string value called LowRiskFileTypes and the value should be .mp3. You will likely need to reboot
