Cannot get to built-in admin logon

This is my own PC. One of several I own that are dual-boot Ubuntu 25.10. I normally would not worry about not having admin privileges except that one day MS WORD and old-style OUTLOOK came up in Chinese on the icons and commands, but English in document text. I have downloaded office deployment tool, but it wants elevated privileges to run. PC is Lenovo ThinkCentre P330. I have clients of my consulting business that want my work product in real Adobe Acrobat and real MS PowerPoint.

I have tried some of the approaches given in similar posts on this topic, but nothing seems to work.

    This is stock Dell 7720. Only thing not stock is that it is dual boot with Ubuntu Unity 25.04 and SSD has two exFAT partitions for my files. They can be accessed by both Ubuntu and Win software.

Is your user account an Admin one or a Standard one?
Exactly what happens & what do you see when you start that office deployment tool?
- Does it call up the expected Admin challenge dialog? Examples & explanations shown in Admin prompts, UAC - my post #31 - ElevenForum
- Do you then give Admin approval to proceed?

And, despite the thread's title, nothing in your description seems to have anything to do with the Built-in Admin account. So why did you mention that??

If you are using a Microsoft Account, after enabling it, the Built In Administrator account will not appear on the Login screen

Login as the Admin user, Go to Start/Shutdown/Switch User. is the Admin account available?
You may need to login into Safe Mode.

You are getting all these various answers because your post is not clear.Start at the beginning.Go to settigs>accounts>Is your account an administrator?
Like so.

If your account is an administrator you should be able to right click on the .exe of the deployment tool and select "run as administrator"
