windows 11 Pro 22H2
I have a Asus K31ADE pc which had Windows 10 updated to Windows 11 Pro 21H2 using Github bypass Win 11 check ( there is a thread which i posted sometime ago about this ... ) anyway no matter what method i try to update to 22H2 fails..tried creating Labconfig keys..this did not work either nor did Microsoft own registry key dword value key for unsupported hardware ....

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup]
"AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU"=dword:00000001

Does not work either

Which means i cannot update to 22H2 but have Windows 11 Pro 21H2 via Github procedure and still receive updates .

This is my experience anyway and unless i am doing something wrong also i cannot download the official 22H2 iso from Micosoft as i cannot see the option to download 64bit version...no blue box !

Congratulations to those who have managed to update to 22H2 on older pc's. I have given up trying.

I'll keep using Github bypass version until Asus pc packs up then go to my Dell Pc.

I have Dell Inspiron 3860 which works fine .

It's quite simple to update from W11 21H2 to 22H2 on an unsupported device, I have done so on three such machines, as described here. You attempt the upgrade using an ISO made by the Media Creation tool, when it fails, apply the workaround in the post I linked to above, click the Back button, then the Next button to try again. With the workaround in place it will work on the second attempt.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

Thanks Bree,

Tried your suggestions but this did not work either as message popped during setup .... 'cannot determine whether your pc can run Windows 11 please run setup again' ....something like that.Kept going into a loop.

Anyway, thanks for suggestion...either there is a corrupted file somewhere with Github Windows 11 Pro version i have on my pc Asus pc.
Obviously, i don't want to mess my pc up otherwise i will have re-install Windows 10 again.

Should have kept using Windows 10 anyway.

Thanks again.

Bye Have a nice weekend.

What I did:
Disabled Malwarebytes & turned off start when Windows starts.
Disabled NET 3.5.
Used/created a blank appraiserres.dll file & replaced the version under sources with this.
It installed OK (I had to force restart as it stuck on a blank screen after restarting but install continued).

Thanks for reply Basket ,

I have created a blank appraiserres.dll file & replaced this option did not work for me and i don't have Malwarebytes.

When i have recovered from going round in circles trying to update to 22H2 ...i will try the link that Davy49 mentioned...at the
end of the day it's Microsoft fault for not allowing pc users to upgrade to Windows 11 even if the pc is only 3-4 years old.

In my Asus pc Github Bypass Win 11 version i think is preventing upgrade because the official Microsoft 22H2 ISO is doing the pre-system checks for TPM and SecureBoot which my Asus does not have and Github Bypass Win 11 bypass's the TPM and Secure Boot checks and hence i have Windows 11 Pro from Windows 10 and have checked Github website but this only shows 21H2 and not 22H2 and i 'll keep re-checking to see if 22H2 is on there.

Bye.
Have a nice weekend

You could try the NET framework 3.5 removal Via control panel>program & features>turn windows features on/off.

Thanks for your suggestion Bastet...did not work...also i like to apologise for calling you Basket and not Bastet which is your correct username..sorry..i need my eyesight checking.

What i will do is to contact Github and see what they say ...after all i am using Windows 11 Pro from their installation method ...and they
created Open Shell which i use.

Bye.

Will now call it a day and see what happens when contacting Github next week.

@Bree, the file name is appraiserres.dll and not appraserres.dll
