Canon scanner not working

Dear Eleven,

I have a desktop computer with Win 11 ver. 24H2. It is a fresh instalation on newly built PC. I have a printer/scanner Canon i-Sensys MF 4120. The device prints anything I need but the scanner doesn´t work. I have downloaded and installed Canon Toolbox 4.9 and when I open it and click on "Save" it says that the scanner is not found. I have found another topic regarding the problem but the thread ended with a step that doesnt work for me (I tried to instal another generic printer and set it as default as suggested in the thread).

Could you please help?

Dear Marvin,
Your specs are totally empty in your profile. We don't know what your PC is made of.
You don't tell us how you are connecting to the printer/scanner and I see that ToolBox4911mf18WinEN.exe
is the file you need to download. I am assuming you did, because you didn't say that either.
You need our help but you give us nothing. All we know is that you can print but can't scan.

My MFP machines are connected to my Router. I am on a Notebook and using Control Panel, Device and Printers then in Bluetooth & Devices, Printers & Scanners used Add Device, got both the OfficeJet Pro and LaserJet Pro choices and can scan. The process brought up Get and installed.

You have not said what drivers you have installed. The Scanner part has different drivers WIA and TWAIN.
What they give is for Windows 10, and for the scanner part another patch for Network Scan, USB Scan.

It is 15 years old, so a long way out of support.

Hamricks VueScan says it is compatible with USB connection.

This printer has limited Network capabilities

it allows a small workgroup to fully share these functions directly from their connected PCs

Hi, I have an old Canon I-Sensys MF4270 (2016). Managed to get it working last year though no Windows 11 driver available. Scanner is working fine with NAPS2. Used the old Windows 10 driver. I like the compact printer which is doing great. Can open the administrator menu in browser.
