Hi.
I try to change the .ps1 file type icon , because the default one is little terrible :

I have tried with three programs (types, filetypesman, default program editor) to change it, without success.
Does anyone know if and how this is done?
Thanks.:)

Have you tried the more-horrible Terminal icon in the list of Apps? It's pretty much the same look as Terminal in Linux [at least the Debian varieties] and maybe Mac OS X [don't know about the newer macOS]. And Terminal opens PowerShell.

Yeah, PS doesn't have the same things Command Prompt does [which still works].

All three programs Work for me (Types, FileTypesMan, Default Programs Editor) Also "Right Click Enhancer Pro" & "Windows 10 Manager"

Do you have windows 10 or 11 ? Because at windows 10 it works for me and at 11 not. And the "Windows 10 manager" is for windows 10.

Have you tried tracking down the CLSID entry for the filetype and changing it there? Seem to remember having to do that with .eml and .pdf files in Win 11 when playing about.

I'll Test Those in Win11 And let You Know
Finally i made it only with "Right Click Enhancer Pro". It looks like the key point was to change the "Microsoft.PowerShellXMLData.1" file type icon also. When i changed only .ps1 it not works. When i change additionally "Microsoft.PowerShellXMLData.1" file type icon it works !
