Solved Cant connect to router via wireless

I needed to restart my BT hub which I've done a couple of times before, it starts 192.168 etc which I typed into the address bar on Edge using my laptop connected wirelessly.
It wouldn't let me correct directly, only by a third party website although I could ping the address directly using the cmd prompt (I also tried Chrome)
Not wanting to connect by an unknown site I used my wired connection on my desktop which connected directly to the router just fine.
I was able to connect wirelessly last time I did this. Any ideas what's going on here?

I can't figure out whether you have done this, so sorry if you have but here is something to try:

• Open CMD (as admin)
• Type ipconfig /flushdns
• Now type in ipconfig /renew
• Give this a while to run, it won't take long
• Restart your computer

I should have specified, I have 2 laptops (wireless), a pc (wired) and an android TV box (wireless)
It was the TV box that was not connecting despite taking it off and on the network.
I don't know what the android equivalent of flush dns is or if there is one.
Restarting the router has worked fine and everything is now connecting, my concern is I used to be able to connect directly with the router
by typing the ip directly into the address bar on a browser but now, even after resetting the router, I cant do this and google comes up with a bunch of websites to connect through.

I have 2 routers in my network, one main and one used as an access point. If I am using wireless, I have difficulty as well when using the ip address of the router to get into its settings. However, I have no such problems when I use the https name provided by the manufacturer. For example, my main router is a TPlink. I enter //tplinkwifi.net into my browser. Up pops the router login.
My access point is a Netgear. I can access it from //routerlogin.net

You might check your router documentation to see if there is a similar entry.

Thanks glasskuter, I typed http: before the ip and got in straight away wirelessly.
Could have sworn I did that before but maybe I tried https.
