Can't Get ODT Tool to Work

Thought it would be nice to upgrade from from 2012 version, so bought Office Professional 2021 Professional Plus, as I wanted Outlook, but only want Outlook and Word, and I can't get the ODT tool to run properly even after using the online configuration to create the xml file. It appears to run, but installs nothing. ODT instructions also say it can be used to uninstall programs, so I even tried that, and after a full install, running the tool won't uninstall anything, although it appears to be running the Office install program, but again, no change.

Here is the configuration file contents:

<Configuration ID="29016a95-0a3d-40d8-b419-1ccfedef3834">
<Add OfficeClientEdition="64" Channel="Current" SourcePath="D:\Office 2021 Professional Plus" AllowCdnFallback="TRUE">
<Product ID="ProPlus2021" PIDKEY="REDACTED">
<Language ID="en-us" />
<ExcludeApp ID="Access" />
<ExcludeApp ID="Excel" />
<ExcludeApp ID="Lync" />
<ExcludeApp ID="OneDrive" />
<ExcludeApp ID="OneNote" />
<ExcludeApp ID="PowerPoint" />
<ExcludeApp ID="Publisher" />
</Product>
</Add>
<Property Name="SharedComputerLicensing" Value="0" />
<Property Name="FORCEAPPSHUTDOWN" Value="FALSE" />
<Property Name="DeviceBasedLicensing" Value="0" />
<Property Name="SCLCacheOverride" Value="0" />
<Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />
<Updates Enabled="TRUE" />
<RemoveMSI />
</Configuration>

Any ideas what the issue is?

If you're running Setup.exe locally, you must be in the same folder as the configuration XML. Next step would be to remove the SourcePath since you're probably not doing an install from a network share.

ODT is in the same folder as the configuration xml. I removed the sourcepath. Same result. Setup starts, says getting things ready, but never installs anything.

Did you follow the step of downloading the Office install files? I'm assuming you want to do this the ODT way, and not from an online self-installer.

setup.exe /configure configuration.xml

Correct, and that's the command line I'm using. I have the install files downloaded, and as a stand alone that installs absolutely everything, it does work, but everything being installed is overkill, programs I'll never use at home.

Yep. If it was a volume license, you'd know it.

That was it, Thanks! Thinking back, I think the online configuration tool may have put Volume in the configuration line and I likely edited it out.
