Can't log into my Microsoft on one device without breaking the other.

Yesterday, I changed a few BIOS settings on my computer. The next time I started Windows 11 the computer thought that my Windows needed activation. I went through all the steps to get the activation, including setting up a new PIN and changing my Microsoft account password. Now my computer is working fine.

Now I'm trying to connect to my linked cellphone, which has been working fine. It says there is a problem and I guess it's because of the password change. So I I log in with the new password and I'm told that I need to change it again! As soon as I do so, the Windows computer breaks, since the password is wrong as far as it's concerned.

I don't want a different password. I don't want to have to change it every time I use on my phone or computer.

How do I tell Microsoft that the password and account is secure and to stop bugging me?

ASUS replaced the motherboard on my laptop so I had to reactivate Windows 11 Pro. I re-entered the Key to do that. I didn't have to do anything with my any account. Note I normally log in with a local account but occasionally switch to my Microsoft account.

How is your phone linked to your Microsoft account?

On my laptop Phone Link is connected to my phone with my Microsoft account. Reactivating Windows 11 didn't affect that either.
