Solved Can't run music sw properly

Hi :)

I have a piece of sw called VEP that is technically not supported anymore by the dev One of the things it does is hosts other dev's plug-ins. These plug's are in the form of .dll files.

I have VEP running on W11, and although I point the app to the location where the dll files sit, it seems to not see them. This works in W7, and it also works in W10. But not W11. Is it possible that there is something in the OS that is preventing the app from seeing the dll files? have tried moving the files to another folder, but to no avail. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Are you using Vienna pro? What .DLL are you using? is it 32 bit, 64 bit. VST 2 or VST 3?

Yes, Vienna pro. v5, which is an older version of course, but it works on W10. And it works here to on W11, save for the fact that I can't load anything. Using VST2 and yes, 64-bit. VEP doesn't do VST3 - at least not VEP v5

What .DLLs - all of them. Vienna's Synchron Player, Kontakt, Omnsiphere, Decapitator, TRS EQ, etc.

Have you tried running Vienna Pro in a compatibility mode for an OS that it does work properly.
Not this program but I've had other older programs that ran in Win 10 or 11 but couldn't find peripherals. Running them in older OS compatibility fixed the problems.

I have a home recording studio using Presonus Studio One 4.6 Pro and Cakewalk (Sonar) by Bandlab.

Good thought. Tried, but no go. The app works just fine otherwise, which is why I am thinking it might be an OS thing.

So, I upped to a newer version, and it works. But this has opened a new box of issues, one of them being a W7 issue :/
