Got two questions about CCleaner.

Can/does this application in any way cuase issues or harm the system? I've heard some say that after they've stopped using it some of their problems "disappeared". Can someone tell me for a fact if CCleaner can cause issues?

If I was to use Disk Cleanup, Temporary Files, "temp" "%temp%" "prefetch" in Run and Optimize Drives (let me know if I'm forgetting anything else) in order to delete unneeded files, clean and optimize my system does using CCleaner offer any extra cleaning and optimization?

Any program CAN cause problems if misused or misunderstood.
I use CCleaner, and have had no issues...

My CCleaner Tweaks...

I use CCleaner 5.78 I installed it offline, and I blocked it and it's updaters in MY firewall. And... since it was purchased by Avast, I also "added" these lines to my HOSTS file (which "blocks" them)... C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS...

Cleaning browsers without added exceptions cleans cookies, which forces people to re-login every time.
Cleaning prefetch could cause a slowdown, just like cleaning other caches like DNS and so on.
Then again cleaning those caches can solve or prevent certain issues, so it really varies.

Disk Cleanup cleans only Windows and even that carefully (very little), CCleaner cleans other apps, mostly browsers.
You can actually add a deeper cleanup via github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2 , which could cause some issues though.
