In the latest WIN11 update, there is also a visual change that slightly bothers me, namely the change in the color of the indicator in the explorer in the drive lane - see picture.

Mine latest Build, the shade of blue looks much the same as your New, a little richer than your Old. I don't use Dark Mode.

LOL. I think it's more likely that most folks think it's so insignificant and don't care one way or the other. I honestly hadn't even noticed it until reading this thread.

alternatively, you can just disable the bars if they are too much of a nuisance due to the new color (shade)

if you are using dark mode in Windows 11 have a look here
settings > personalisation > colours

you can change the default blue to navy blue
and just below the colour palate you can set this for task bar and borders
which maybe more to your liking.

just a side note, SAB also maintains the lighter blue bars.. not sure about EP but i would assume so as those usage meters are only images in the themes

The indicator color can only be changed arbitrarily in high contrast themes. But who will change all this into an identical color scheme/theme with a difference in the indicator?
