This tutorial will show you how to change the font used when writing in the handwriting panel or directly into a text field for your account in Windows 11.
The touch keyboard in Windows 11 includes a handwriting panel layout you can use to enter text with a pen or your finger.
After you enter text into the handwriting panel, the text automatically gets converted into the Ink Free font by default. You can change the font used to convert the text to any font you want.
The text will be converted into a medium font size by default, but you change the font size to be small, medium, or large if supported.

This option is handy since it will allow you to use any installed font.
1 Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
2 Navigate to the key below in the left pane of Registry Editor. (see screenshot below)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\EmbeddedInkControl
3 In the right pane of the EmbeddedInkControl key, double click/tap on the LatinFontName string value (REG_SZ) to modify it. (see screenshot above)
4 Type any font name you want to use, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)
The default font name is Ink Free.
To see available fonts and their names:
A) Open the C:\Windows\Font folder.
B) You can click/tap on a font family (ex: "Arial") to open it and see the individual font names (ex: "Arial Bold") in the family.
5 You can now close Registry Editor if you like.
That's it,
