Change the color of 'ico' file (.dll file?), and a 'few'' other questions

Hello,

1.
I would like to know how to change the color of this icon. (I don't want to change to a different 'icon' file. I would like to change the color of the icon , circled in blue




2. How do I fix this? . . . (I've had this problem for 8+ years). I can only leave a comment in Youtube when I'm on my cell phone.



3. I would like my bookmarks to look like this . . .




Not this . . .




4. In a 'File Explorer' type of environment, I would like to organize my bookmarks. I haven't come across a bookmark manager where it looks like File Explorer. (PS: I'm 'anti' Raindrop.io so please don't suggest

I did try this . . . In File Explorer, enable 'hidden files' and look subfolders. I was hoping There would be a sub folder that had all the bookmarks which I could then organize there.


5. There is this beige look (below) to Windows 11. I would like to change it so it's 'crisp white' environment. This is what I'm seeing as I'm writing this post . . .




6. There are too many files / folders when I try to save a file to Windows Explorer. I would like to hide the following . . .
. . Gallery, this PC, Libraries, drives, Network, OneDrive, Music, Pictures, Video,

(The screenshot, png file, wasn't cooperating so I took a photo with my cell phone)



The arrows are pointing to the two 'Desktop' icons; the red circle is showing the folders that I would like to 'hide' [the photo could be misinterpreted that I want to move those folders to the left which is not the case]



If I could only solve one of these problems / tweaks, it would be about signing into Youtube

1. You don't without creating an entirely new icon.

2. I know nothing about Imgur so I haven't a clue. I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to do from youtube. If you're trying to download an image a youtuber has included in a video, you would need to take it up with the creator. You might also ask in the youtube community.

3. For Chrome Bookmarks
To change Chrome bookmarks to icons, simply edit the bookmark and delete the text name, leaving only the website's favicon (icon), which saves space on your bookmarks bar for a cleaner look. For custom icons or folder icons, you can use browser extensions like Bookmark Favicon Changer or add emojis to folder names. There are many youtube videos about this.

Remove Text for Existing Bookmarks (Best for Bar)

1. Right-click the bookmark on your bookmarks bar you want to change.
2. Select "Edit".
3. Delete all the text in the "Name" field, leaving it blank.
4. Click "Save" or "Done".

4. To organize Chrome bookmarks, use the Bookmark Manager (Ctrl+Shift+O) to create folders for categories (Work, Social, Recipes) and drag-and-drop bookmarks into them; you can also create folders on the bookmarks bar for quick access, add bookmarks with just favicons to save space, and use the side panel or 'Sort by' options to reorder within folders. There are videos on this, too.
5. You might try Classic Color Panel by Wintools. I believe the value you would be interested in changing is "Window"
6. Use this forums tutorial section. There are many involving changing file explorer appearance. It is categorized, alphabetized, and searchable. You can change as little or as much as you want. Using these tutorials I ended up with this.

welll.... you coooooulld.. extract the icon, convert to png, recolor, convert to ico, and created a modified shell32.dll and rename the original one to .dll.bak. depends on how bad you want that icon altered lol.

I know about editing/deleting the text. I want to shift the favicons to this position . . .

I appreciate the suggestion, but Im looking for a 'replica' for File Explorer where bookmarks can be go

I use will use Faststone as File Explorer. I 'disable thumbnails' and use 'list' view

- I dont know about shell. I added a folder on the context menu, but thats it . . .

How do I 'extract' the image / file in the first place? Do I search 'ico' [Yes] . . using the Everything search engine, of course (Voidtools.com)

But in doing that you would have created a new icon, would you not? I do use some of the free icon packs that work with a simple "change icon", but I have enough other "stuff," that irks me that an icon's appearance is not one of the peeves in my life.....so long as it does the job it's intended to do, I'm just not that picky if it requires much of my time.

instructions in my other thread are the same for your procedure. obviously, adjust the paths/filenames accordingly (imageres.dll = shell32.dll and imageres.dll.mun = shell32.dll.mun for what you're doing)

attached is just the .ico if you want to use that...

i guess "create", sure. i just modified it by overlaying the blue on the original..

I'm using Google split view So I have A total of four columns to Organize my bookmarks. I consider problem 4 to be closed
