Solved Change windows system launguage to English (UK) from German>

Hi all

Next week I am going to be working in Germany for 12 - 14 months on a work project for which I have purchased a dedicated Laptop.

It comes with Windows 11 German installed.

I need it to show everything in English UK because that is my native launguage and most of the programs I will be using
are also in English UK. English International has different Keyboard layout which messes with most of the Keyboard shortcuts
so thats a no go.

When I try to change the launguage English UK is greyed out.

Is there anything that I can do?

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Honestly, if you're using this PC for work I would re-install Windows on it since your native language isn't German.

1. Download the W11 23H2 ISO in English International (en-GB), or use the Media Creation Tool.
2. Check the laptop manufacturer's page for their drivers, and download them. Copy the driver files to an USB drive.
3. Install the ISO.
4. Install the missing drivers from the USB.
5. Add the German Language Features from Settings.

While there are ways to reconfigure the Windows UI for different languages, it's just less hassle to have the base Windows language match your own. Especially if you're keeping this PC after the work project is over.
