Solved Classic context menu visual bug

Hi all,

Not sure when this issue started and what brought it about, but it must've been about a month ago when I realised and it's driving me crazy. This happens when I click show more options after right clicking, or when right clicking the title bar of chrome for example. I've included a link to show the problem below, but if it doesn't work, the issue is basically that the classic context menu seems to be highlighting all of the options white for some reason, with each one being bordered by a black line.

The only possible thing that I know may have affected it is the (relatively) recent update to 22H2, but I've searched every possible help thread and no one else seems to be experiencing the same thing. I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

I had Winaero and Ultimate Windows Tweaker installed, but I've since reset all options to their default and even uninstalled both programs, but it's no use

Thanks, but this isn't the issue. This is the default right click menu which shows up in windows 11, the problem is when I click on Show More Options.

There's patches provided to enable and disable the classic context menu.

Then you would know accessing the classic context menu isn't my issue, it's the classic context menu itself which appears bugged. I'm on dark mode for context and it shouldn't have that white background on the menu items. Thanks anyways :)

I've tried that already, to no avail unfortunately, just gives me the bugged version I showed before, which I can't seem to fix

I suspect it's got something to do with your theme and colors.
Try setting theme to default...

Default didn't work but after some playing around with the options it seems to be fixed. Thank you so much!

I have the same problem. Played around with themes and colors but it has made no difference.
I wasn't worrying about it, but I want to use HDCleaner but the problem is also corrupting the right click menu in HDCleaner's "Manage Cookies" section - sometimes the lines show but no text at all, other times right click is unresponsive - making the program unusable.

I have the same issue as you, i will try this too, can you remember which options you fiddled with?
EDIT: ok seems like changing the theme back to a premade one and then reapplying my customisations did the trick , nice thanks for the pointer
