This is the reason I specifically bought a laptop with two internal drives.
On older laptops, I have used the optical drive bay caddy to install a secondary internal drive.

i was getting a one with 2 a NVME SSDD and HDD but was corei5 11th gen 3310 vs 5510

On my desktop computers, I use three internal drives.
I have a C, D and E drive.

My documents, photos, music, software installers, system images files etc are all saved to my D drive.
All the files stored on my D drive are automatically copied to the E drive using Bvckup 2. So everything is backed up. Even my system image backups are backed up. Bvckup 2 is extremely fast at replicating everything. It also has a retention of deleted files function that you can adjust to suit.

I have rescue media and the rescue boot options on my start screen. I made the rescue media as a backup in case I can't get to the start screen. When my backup programs get updated, I make new recue media and test them to make sure they work. I also have more than one backup program.

Yes, never rely on just one backup application. I think two is enough. But I use three as I'm a bit of a backup enthusiast.
The ones I use are Macrium Reflect, TeraByte Unlimited Image For Windows and Drive Snapshot. They all run on a schedule.

Well, MS Account can be bypassed on Home, even the Internet Connectivity requirement.

As per your methods:

1. Create folders in D.
2. Change the path of stock folders in C to D.
3. Folders do appear and get relocated to D, BUT still keep showing in C.

I'd appreciate if you care to make it simple for a newbie...

It will be interesting to find out what I'm doing different. Another thing I see that my computer does differently than your computer. When I'm running a VM the VM disk doesn't show in Disk Management or MiniTool Partition Wizard.

@NavyLCDR, the folders on the C drive don't show the files on the D drive and the folders on the D drive don't show the files on the C drive. It's like they are two different folders even though when I look in the properties the location points to the D drive.

That's the issue. Right now I'm working with One Drive disabled (never enabled). Then I will try to figure it out with One Drive. I didn't have any luck with One Drive before.
