Computer Chair Doesn't Sit Upright?

I don't know Spanish so I tried to find the chair on the Amazon US site and I can't find it. I can translate the page but not the pictures showing the features. I still say that looking at the pictures the top half of the chair leans back even when not in a reclined position. Between you not feeling comfortable sitting in the chair and the lever being loose, I would send it back if you still can.
I think his problem is that even if it is fully upright, it still reclines a little when he leans back on it. He needs to lock it to stop the backward movement when leaning back.

Looking at the very last picture on the top of the page it looks like the bottom half of the back has the lumbar curve and the top half is leaning back. I wonder if they could adjust the lumbar position so the are sitting more straight.

I bought this chair a long time ago.

Did you check out the photos from other users?

Yes there is the lumbar thing on the back but I"m not sure how you suppose to do that? I just know that I turned to one side when twisting it. The thing is the top of the chair isn't upright. But is that how most chairs are? When it's in a locked position and the lever is locked, it doesn't recline but it's not upright.

Are you talking about this part not being "vertical"? If so, that is by design. The chair's ergonomic design is supposed to follow the natural curves of your body for better support. Otherwise you can use a regular dining chair with vertical back rest.

If I take a few photos of my chair, would people here be able to tell if there is an issue or if it's like that?

I don't know how it feels comfortable for a computer chair to lean back a bit especially when looking at multiple monitors.

I mentioned a while back how I had used one of those chairs where it had a very soft cushion but the back of it is very hard like window bars so to speak. So I just put a pillow in the back of that hard window bars part of the chair and to me that felt comfortable because I was sitting upright. Should I just do that with this computer chair?

Why not find a chair that's comfortable? I bought a chair several years ago that is all mesh for the seat and the back. It has adjustments for height, backrest, and the seat position. It's quite comfortable, and easily adjustable. I got this one at Costco.

Well because I bought this computer chair a while back. When going to an actual store, there were very few chairs if any that sat upright. I wanted to buy it but I read online that a computer chair should have a bit of lean back. But when I'm on a laptop and multiple monitors, that lean back a bit is not comfortable.

The thing is I bought a pillow and put it in the back of the chair. That does help somewhat but still not that good.

The thing is should I buy those lumbar back support things? If I put it on my computer chair, would I then have back support but also sit upright? Does anyone have a recommendation for this? Seems like since my chair is a bit leaned back and I don't like it like that, the lumbar support thing would work? Or it wouldn't? Could someone find me one on Amazon Mexico or Amazon US that would be good for this?

Most of those kinds of questions are a totally personal thing, only you can really judge what would improve the comfort.

But would buying something like that work or not? Do people here buy that for use with their computer chair?

I feel like it might help? The thing is my computer chair leans back a bit like most chairs so would buying a lumbar support mean that I would be sitting upright then which is the position I want?

I rarely lean back on my chair, I tend to lean into my work.
The only time I lean back is when watching a movie..., or falling asleep!

Reading this thread again made me realize that when I sit in my office chair the lumbar keeps me sitting up straight. The only time the top of my back touches is when I lean back.

@newmann, The only way find out is to try a lumbar support. Amazon US has them for computer chairs so I'm sure Amazon Mexico has them. If you decide to order one, make sure you can return it if you find that it doesn't help.

Reading this thread again made me realize that when I sit in my office chair the lumbar keeps me sitting up straight. The only time the top of my back touches is when I lean back.
I rarely sit that far back in my chair or the armrests annoyingly hit the edge of the desk.
Not to mention, I'd be way too far back from the displays and keyboard!

I'm just the opposite, I usually lean back. On your chair does the whole seat and arms move or just the back. On my chair just the back moves

The whole thing moves, it's a cheap piece of crap! :cautious:
It's all the same to me, though..., I'd sit on a kitchen chair if I had to! 🤷‍♂️

But would buying something like that work or not? Do people here buy that for use with their computer chair?

I feel like it might help? The thing is my computer chair leans back a bit like most chairs so would buying a lumbar support mean that I would be sitting upright then which is the position I want?
Maybe. I have this. Part of it depends on your posture, though.

Our chairs are wood. I would need a cushion if I was going to sit on one for any length of time.

I think my whole point is the chair is a very subjective topic. What works for you probably won't work for a lot of other people. Vice versa, what works for me very likely won't work for you. IMO, this is a topic that you have to deal with on a personal level.
