computer failed to boot bios

i get boot failure today computer i had to load optimized defaults then it worked .but i put back the settings like they where before and now its working again.
cant figure how why this happened there was no recent bios changes

the only thing that happened recently was a power cut 3 times during each day so one power cut three days in a row . now i have a surge protector for the computer

Generally, after a power cut, I enter the BIOS and then just save & exit without changing anything.
That usually fixes any BIOS glitches.

There should also be a place in your BIOS to "save" your BIOS settings to a profile.
Usually there will be eight slots you can save a BIOS profile in.

Then if the BIOS does get seriously glitched, you can just "load" the profile with your current settings.

I've never owned a Gigabyte board but on ASUS boards, after a power outage, the BIOS splash screen comes up and says: Press F1 to enter Setup (the BIOS). So I do that and at least for ASUS boards, once in the BIOS I just press F10 to Save & Exit.

And then everything is back to normal. :-)
