Hi Brian, sorry, had a bad day yesterday.
Not sure if it will stop that message. But here are the apparent options for what I suggested, according to Edge:

Disabling proxy settings on Microsoft Edge
  1. Launch Microsoft Edge®. ...
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click System and performance.
  4. Click Open your computer's proxy settings. ...
  5. Toggle Automatically detect settings to Off.
  6. The proxy server setting is now disabled.
I am also uncertain what affect, if any, it would have on your browsing. Are Auto proxy settings important? I don’t know. But what I suggested is a fix I read online.

Brian, if you go into Windows settings: Network & Internet / Proxy. Is there anything setup in "Use A Proxy Server? Or is the top selection; Automatically detect settings on?

Mine is set to Auto Detect by default I believe. Maybe that needs to be turn to off to use the Preview? Just reaching here.

I found this in my search. I clicked on "Manage Settings" (below a bit) it opened Edge settings, that's where I stopped. It all looks relevant though.

Thanks, that looks okay, the only other thing I could suggest is getting a Process Monitor trace and checking where Edge is querying.
