This tutorial will show you how connect or disconnect sources (services) for Copilot to use to find and retrieve content for you in Microsoft Edge, on the Web, and Windows 11.
The Microsoft Copilot app is an AI here to give advice, inspiration, and help when you need a hand. You can start a conversation to get clear answers to tough questions, turn ideas into images, or polish your writing until it shines.
Signing into Copilot using your personal Microsoft Account gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
Sources (previously called connectors) allow you to link Copilot to other services so you can easily find, summarize, and act on information from these services.
Copilot can connect with the following consumer services:
- Microsoft OneDrive
- Microsoft Outlook.com (email, calendar, and contacts)
- Google Drive
- Google Gmail, Calendar, Contacts
- Find files quickly: “Find my budget spreadsheet” or “Show me the project plan from last month.”
- Search by file name or type: “Find Word documents about vacation plans” or “Show me all PDFs.”
- Locate recent files: “Show me the files I worked on last week.”
- Find emails: “Show me emails from Sarah about the budget” or “Find my flight confirmation email.”
- Get contact information: “What is John’s email address?”
- Check in on your calendar: “What’s on my calendar for tomorrow?” or “When is my next dentist appointment?”
