Crashed while basic video editing

So I recently got a HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop 15-fe0053dx with a 13th gen Intel i7 processor and an Intel iris graphics card 16 GB ram. I was trying to combine 3 MP4 files together no longer than a total of 2 hours with clipchamp and export the result as an MP4 file. I got to about 20% complete with the export and my laptop crashed. Any ideas about what it could've caused it? (I am currently running windows memory diagnostics.)

Any tips, suggestions, or help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. No one can tell you what caused the crash until you provide the files necessary for crash analysis. At the top of the section page are these instructions. BSOD - Posting Instructions
You gather the necessary files, zip them, upload to any cloud provider (ie onedrive, google drive, dropbox, etcc) share the file and provide a link to it in this thread.

Was it a brand new purchase that is under warranty?

It's not normal for it to crash, (error or just freeze) even when very hot! It should just slow down, or shut off, if past a critical CPU thermal point.

Normally, it first will start throttling, if you don't have enough cool air coming in at the bottom.

Without the V2 log data we're just going to be guessing.
