Solved D drive has a LOT of errors

My Movie drive has 870 errors according to OCCT and more according to CrystalDiskInfo.

I don't store anything important on that drive at all. Just movies for a rainy day when the internet goes out.
Could that drive be causing some of the issues I've had recently with random restarts,

Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor APIC ID: 1

and GPU drivers failing?

The Cache Hierarchy Error is a hardware error on the processor so that has nothing to do with the GPU or the nvme ssd.

There are no other issues with your nvme drive indicated besides the media and data integrity errors that I see. By the way, those numbers are in hexidecimal in CrystalDiskInfo so 366 = 870 decimal and agrees with OCCT.

It may be heat related. What temperature does it reach when under load?

You might try reseating the SSD to make sure that there is good electrical contact and heatsink thermal contact.

I did reseat it. I've never noticed any issue with the drive. Never lost data, that I'm aware of. It doesn't get very hot. The motherboard has some pretty good heat sinks.

Ok, so it has nothing to do with the CPU. That's a relief because I just ordered a replacement in case this one is on its way out the door.

I'd wait a bit and see. I suppose it could have been a crash that caused the errors if the SSD didn't protect for that. I think that unlikely though.

Yeah, I'm not ready to call it. I typically upgrade my platform when the next best thing comes out but I haven't been able to do that this time around and this rig just seems old and tired. I made a few posts about different issues going on with it. This one seems to be a simple one.

I'm not sure how your drive health is reading 100%, when it's rated TBW is 480 and you have 37TB of writes to it. Should be reading closer to 87% drive health. Could there be faulty information reporting from the drive?
