When Memtest86+ runs there is always an image of its progress.

This image can be recorded by taking a picture.

The image can be posted in a share link.

Please search for

a) c:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt > post a share link

b) C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP > zip > post a share link

Hi zbook, I read about Windows Maintenance, and am guessing it has been running, though I've never heard of it until you told me. I used the REG download to disable it, though not sure how to verify.

OK - am sorry to be a bit lost, but I am guessing you mean to stop posting any results of anything here, and instead, post everything to MyDrive, every picture and test result, etc., and then just post a link for them here? Sorry again for my ignorance, zbook, I am trying to do exactly what you tell me every time.

For share links the software for posting V2 has been working.

When steps are performed by software they almost always have a final image that has a completed result.
This typically reports the number of RAM modules that were tested.
It may report their part number.
It may report the testing time.
It may report many other parameters.
There was no image to view.

OK - I guess that means to post all pics to mydrive and then post the links here. I will re-run the MEMTEST tonight, and take a pic of the screen when it finishes, and post it to mydrive, and then post the link to it here.
I hope I have turned ON the Error Reporting now, and turned OFF the Automatic Maintenance - both via the REG files I downloaded.

C Windows Memory Dump sent me this:

Access to the file was denied

The file at file:///C:/WINDOWS/MEMORY.DMP is not readable. It may have been removed, moved, or file permissions may be preventing access.
ERR_ACCESS_DENIED I will try to get to it as Administrator.

2) Create a new restore point

3) Please restart WDV with these groups of customized tests:

Group d

Code:

[ ] 0x00008000 Power framework delay fuzzing.
[ ] 0x00010000 Port/miniport interface checking.
[ ] 0x00040000 Systematic low resources simulation.
[ ] 0x00000001 Special pool.

Group e

Code:

[ ] 0x00000002 Force IRQL checking.
[ ] 0x00000008 Pool tracking.
[ ] 0x02000000 Code integrity checks.

For each group if there is no immediate BSOD then open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

verifier /querysettings

Post a share link.

For any BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post.

@badger52 Have you done a hardware test to ensure your fans are working properly?
A hot GPU can cause problems. Which specific make / model is your PC along with CPU & GPU?

Hello there - yes, I've been running Core Temp, and verifying that all the fans are running well. PC is custom made, and you should be able to see a "My Computer" link at bottom of my posts that will show all.

Thanks, PCUser. My motherboard and this graphics card have been working together perfectly since 2021, but I can, at least, open up my PC and take it out, spray out the slot, and re-seat it. All the Best!

Hi zbook, Sorry for the delay - had to take care of some other things + eat food, etc. I will get to it in a short bit, but still wondering about:
1 - How can I verify that AUTOMATIC MAINTENANCE is turned off now by the REG file?
2 - How can I verify that Windows Error Reporting is turned ON now by the REG file?
3 - Why can't I find C: Windows Memory Dump? Can it be turned off or something?
It seems these things must be set correctly before I go any further, so the reports I run will give you what you need. Any ideas?
