Default Display Resolution

Hello. I use a mini PC that I login from road to access other systems. This PC is running Windows 11 Pro and is not connected to any Monitor usually. When not connected to a computer monitor the Display Resolution defaults to 1024x768 and I have to manually change it to 1920X1080.
Is there any way to force it to 1920x1080 by default?

Sounds like you are using a Notebook/Laptop, not a PC/Desktop. [Yeah, I know it may seem to be semantics but there's important differences.] I've found that using an External monitor with a Notebook can cause default video/display setting to change when disconnected and need to be reset to what is desired or what is recommended in Display Settings. Also, Notebooks most usually have an Fn key + another F key for toggling between the attached screen, an attached monitor or projector or both at the same time. My year-old Dell Vostro uses Fn + F9 for the toggling. There's usually a VGA, DisplayPort or HDMI port for the external device, haven't work on one with a DVI port yet. Might try turning off the port before disconnecting.

With a mini PC that has no attached display, unlike a laptop, Windows has nothing the interrogate for the display resolution.

You can purchase very inexpensively (just a few dllars) an HDMI dummy plug on Amazon. Simply plug this tiny plug into your mini PC and it reports back as if it is a monitor. Then, simply set the desired display resolution once in Windows (up to the resolution that the dummy plug reports) and the problem is solved.

I use this solution for headless PCs myself and it works great.

NOTE: HDMI was just an example, should work with DP as well.
