This tutorial will show you how to delete all or specific Copilot chats for your Microsoft account on Edge, Web, and app in Windows 11.
The Microsoft Copilot app is an AI here to give advice, inspiration, and help when you need a hand. You can start a conversation to get clear answers to tough questions, turn ideas into images, or polish your writing until it shines.
Signing into Copilot using your personal Microsoft Account gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
If you are signed in, Copilot will remember past conversations, let you access them, and pick up where you left off. Copilot retains the last 18 months of interactions in your conversation history.
You can manually delete your chats with Copilot on demand.

1 Open the copilot.com site or Copilot app on Windows 11.
2 Sign in to Copilot with your Microsoft account if not already.
3 In the sidebar, click/tap on the Chat tab. (see screenshot below)
4 Under Chats, hover on the chat you want to delete, and click/tap on the More (3 dots) button. (see screenshot below)
You can click/tap on Chats to toggle expand or collapse the list of chats.
5 Click/tap on Delete. (see screenshot below)
6 Click/tap on Delete again to confirm. (see screenshot below)

1 Go to the Manage your Copilot activity history page for your Microsoft account privacy dashboard.
2 Sign in with your Microsoft account if not already. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on the Delete all activity history link under "Your Copilot activity history". (see screenshot below)
4 Click/tap on Clear to confirm. (see screenshot below)
5 Click/tap on Close when cleared. (see screenshot below)
