Something that has been bugging me for ages and which took me a long time to find the answer, getting rid of all of my neighbours SSID's from my WiFi network list, Manage WiFi Connections.
I can't be the only one who's ever been annoyed by seeing everyone else's SSID's when you look at the SSID list to change auto connect to one of your own networks. Finally, found out how to filter them out using a Command Prompt (Run as Administrator) string:
netsh wlan add filter permission=block ssid="Wireless Network Name" networktype=infrastructure
Obviously, you must put in the actual name of the SSID in the part that says Wireless Network name
Once I'd added every single SSID I wasn't interested in, they all disappeared from the WiFi Network List.
To re-add, again substituting Wireless Network Name with the SSID you want to put back, you use the following Command Prompt:
netsh wlan delete filter permission=block ssid="Wireless Network Name" networktype=infrastructure
Clearly, this won't bother a lot of people, but I just got fed up of seeing all of these irrelevant SSID's and the above method was the only way I could get rid of them.
Might be useful if perhaps an administrator can check what I've posted and post as a tutorial with any useful amendments or tips for those like me who wanted an easy find solution.
