Deleting/Disabling Edge Update Service

Despite ending the task and deleting the files, it keeps opening upon restarting. Is there any way to prevent it from coming back?

This is part of a startup script I have to turn certain things off. It seems to keep Edge updating at bay. I also disabled the two scheduled tasks in the root of Task Scheduler, but they don't seem to enable themselves.

you can disable 'edge' update in windows services. there are 2 to 3 service entries for Edge update there.

I don't even have Edge on my PC. I used Chris Titus' script to uninstall it. Edge is a memory hog. I also disabled Defender completely (I use MBAM). Edge is annoying

Can I get links to a script that disables defender completely? And one at uninstalls edge?

If you refresh the WebView2, everything comes back on. You need to block it too.
It seems to be working
