It might be depending upon what you're doing. Your post is somewhat ambiguous. If you look in task manager under processes, what is causing all the disk activity?

Hey T2T, No that is not normal unless you are doing something while it is happening like photo/video editing, etc. Doing just normal stuff like browsing and word processing, disk useage might spike a little momentarily but not to run steadily to that extent. My Dell runs at no more thn 5-10% when doing doing just normal stuff.

The first thing to do is restart the computer. Wait about 3 minutes until everything fully loads and the system is idle. See if disk useage is still high.

If it is, As @HeavyHemi said look at task manager. Click "Processes" at top of left column. Then click once at top of "disk" column. This sorts the processes to show most used at the top. (If you don't see processes, click the 3 horizontal lines to expand the left column.)
This might can tell you what is putting such a load on your disk.

If that doesn't work you would need to use clean boot to eliminate software conflict causing the issue. If it doesn't happen in a clean boot, you have some software conflicting with Windows and putting that load on your drive.. You have to use process of elimination to find which one. If it still happens in clean boot, we would have to look inward at the OS and hardware..

It seems you have a few apps running judging by your taskbar, quit them and test again.
