I have had a problem with my Dell laptop, which required Dell Suport doing a full (clean) reinstallation of Windows 11 Pro.

Prior to the reinstallation I did a data backup of my files using ViceVersa Pro. It included the 'Desktop' folder that was "C:\Users\{my name}\Desktop\".

After restoring my data, I found that the new installation has moved the 'Desktop' folder to C:\Users\{my name}\OneDrive\Desktop\".

I keep getting MS requests to use OneDrive, but I don't want it.

How can I move the 'Desktop' folder safely?

I have found that with a right-click on the Desktop folder and then click on "Properties" to open Desktop Properties, I can move it to another location.
